Meet Maestro: Grab Your Floaties

We’ve been talking a lot about what Maestro can do for Main Street organizations. But we may have jumped into the deep end before showing you around. Oops. Let’s grab you some floaties and rewind.

Welcome to Meet Maestro, a series where we’ll explore the platform a little at a time. First up: getting started. Because “here’s your login!” probably shouldn’t be the whole introduction.

A Place for the People, Places, and Plans

Think about your district. There’s the business owner you talk to every week, the building they rent, and the committee planning next month’s sidewalk sale.

That’s how Maestro is built, too. Contacts, Businesses, and Properties give those people and places a home and connect them to each other. Work Plans brings in the projects and who’s doing what. Events, donations, volunteer opportunities, and reports have their own spaces, too.

Put Your Name on It

A few setup choices help make Maestro feel like yours. Add your organization’s name and logo, select your Coordinating Program if applicable, and set up things like business membership levels. A little groundwork now makes the next steps easier.

What’s an “Involvement,” Anyway?

Fair question. Involvements are customizable tags or fields for the details your organization wants to track: committee roles, sponsorships, awards, attendance…you get the idea.
They give you room for the things that matter locally, even when there isn’t already a field for them.

You Don’t Have to Retype Everything

Already have spreadsheets? You can import existing information or add records individually. A helpful import order is Contacts, then Businesses, then Properties, so those connections can come together.

Bring Your People Along

Maestro can be a shared workspace for your team, with access based on what each person needs to do.

There. Floaties on, first lap complete. Next time, we’ll zoom in on one part of Maestro and explore what you can actually do with it.
